Receptions in Monsignor Logan Hall following funerals at Holy Spirit Parish are the ministry of the Funeral Reception Committee. Receptions provide a place of hospitality for families and friends to gather, share, reminisce and remember the life of their loved one.
This ministry has proven to be a blessing for so many of our parishioners. There are two ways to help. (1) Members of the committee take turns setting up, serving and cleaning after the receptions. (2) You may also put your name on a rotating list of those wishing to provide a dish (usually salad or dessert) for the reception. For those who have a funeral reception in our Logan hall, this committee provides complimentary support and assistance for families of the deceased. Members provide small refreshments, usually salad or dessert, as well as set-up and clean-up. This ministry helps with many of the small but very important details of a funeral reception and provides warm and gracious hospitality to those grieving the loss of a loved one.
